£50,000 for 50 years. Zenith Youth Theatre Company (formerly known as Bodlets) is a completely voluntary run organisation that has been producing musical theatre in Bath for almost half a century.

 

 

As part of this year we are launching a £50,000 for 50 years fundraising appeal, to not only ensure the company is around to celebrate its centenary but to help nurture home grown talent in Bath and  to donate some capital investment in our community shared rehearsal and storage space  in Bath- St Marks Community Centre.

 

 

 

What will we spend the money on?

 

1. £20,000 will be put into a  trust fund for a yearly bursary of £1,000 to be open to all members to apply for. One member will be independently awarded the grant to help with the expenses incurred in applying to Drama School, Thus helping nurture home grown talent in Bath.

 

2. £5,000 will be spent on upgrading facilities at St Marks Community Centre; Widcombe, Bath. This has been rehearsal and storage space since 1993. We will provide new AV system and enhanced lighting facilities for all the 15 regular user groups of the centre to benefit from.

 

3. £10,000 will be spent on equipment/staging for the company. New staging will be purchased to reduce our hire costs for each production. This should pay for it’s self in 4 years.

 

4. £5,000 will be spent on subsiding the years activities, helping keep the cost of all the events affordable and accessible to past and present members.

 

5. £10,000 will be put into a reserve fund to ensure the we have a secure future and set us well on the way to celebrating our centenary.

 

 

 

Ways to support:

 

1. Become a major sponsor – Help support the activities of the golden anniversary by donating over £2000. For that your company will endorse one of the activities throughout the year.

 

2. Join the 200 club we are looking for 100 sponsors to buy a brick worth £100 and help build our 50th anniversary logo of bricks. This will bear the company or individual name and will be displayed at all anniversary events

 

3. Give us a one off online  donation (see the button at the top and bottom of this page) to help us achieve our target and play you part in celebrating our 50 years in Bath. 4. Become an anniversary patron for a minimum donation of  at least £15 per year.

 

5. Support our fundraising events and come see our productions.

 

No matter how small you think your donation is every little helps and will bring us closer to our target.
